Anthony Scarlati is a fine art portrait photographer and photojournalist known for his soulful and thought-provoking images. A native of Chicago, he has spent more than twenty years working in the entertainment and culinary industries. There is an underlying philosophy that is apparent in each image and central to his work — to capture and preserve, as only pictures can, the essence of a moment — that defining thought or feeling that spans languages, cultures, species, and time. Anthony’s talent is revealed in his ability to capture the true, natural and authentic beauty of his subjects. As he was inspired by his grandfather, he listened to his calling and through patience and understanding, has been able to develop his unique talent to capture the soul of the moment.

Now making his home in Leipers Fork, Tennessee.   His recent projects include working with music artists such as Marty Stuart, Steve Winwood, The Doobie Brothers, Jeffrey Steele, Keb Mo, B.B. King, Chicago (the band), Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Mark Volman of the Turtles and 2009 Hippy Fest Tour, Vince Gill, Larry Carlton, and Steve Cropper along with providing photos for various media, CD and website projects including the Americana Music Triangle.  Publication credits include BMI Music World, Jazz Times, Bass Player Magazine, Country Music Weekly, Nashville Arts Magazine, Living Blues Magazine, Guitar Player Magazine and People.com.

Anthony has built a credible and intriguing portfolio. His photos are original and artistic, creative and compelling. He is available for commercial and private shoots, where his ability to create a unique experience is, in his own words, The split second in time only I can see.
